The rise in Tech Companies in San Francisco has directly attributed to the increase in fortunes of the construction sector over the last 2 years. Since 2014, California has seen a total investment in excess of $20bn in construction projects. 80% of this has been on office developments, The Development by Apple in their new campus in Cupertino, Northern California being the largest at $5bn. Google, LinkedIn, and Uber are also opening new offices in San Francisco.
Other projects under construction right now in San Francisco are the Salesforce Tower, which will be home to the anchor Tenant Salesforce and the Transbay Transit Center, home to Uber, both which are scheduled to be finished in 2017.
