WSP agrees deal to buy out RPS

Expansion into the water sector and increase in capacity of advisory and planning services are the main driver behind WSP’s acquisition of RPS, the business has said.

Under the deal, WSP will take over RPS’s 5,000 strong workforce which is spread across 100 offices in 12 countries worldwide. RPS, which was founded in 1970, generated revenue of £721.5M in the last financial year with two thirds of its income coming from water and environmental work.
