A leading General Contractor in the Seattle market looking to add an experienced Safety Manager to their growing team in the PNW. This candidate will implement the companies Health and Safety plan and programs across assigned construction projects in markets such as Healthcare, Commercial, Biotech and Education both for ground-up and tenant improvement.

The Safety Manager will report to the Director and work with the project management team and subcontractors for each assigned project. They will plan and identify risks and potential hazards for each project assuring adequate measures are taken to ensure the safety and compliance of all on-site personnel while completing industry leading projects. 

The base salary for this role will vary depending on each applicant – from $90k – $115k, candidates require a minimum of 3 years experience and must have been in a lead role for a complete project. The role comes with bonus, PTO, 401k, medical, dental, vision cover and more for the successful candidate.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Lead and preach the companies EHSP promoting a positive safety culture within all project teams.
  • Oversight on all safety aspects including needs and providing training to team members accordingly. 
  • Mentor safety coordinators and develop a path to career growth for these upcoming professionals.
  • Work with Project Management teams to continuously support them in creating a safety-first leadership and management approach to each project.
  • Analyse trending project data on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Allow for development of safety protocols and programs in an always improving work environment.
  • Maintain all safety files, programs and project data for analysis.
  • Lead meetings and work with subcontractors ensuring compliance to company safety program on the job site.
  • Conduct inspections, orientations and investigations as required while reviewing protocols and collecting feedback from other team members.
  • Work with the client safety rep as required on each project.
  • Ensure safety documentation is always up to date and posted on-site.
  • Safety supplies are always stocked for each assigned project.
  • Maintain and manage COVID response items.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of Safety experience in a leading on-site role.
  • High-Rise/Healthcare Experience is preferred.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite.
  • Degree in Safety Management or CHST / CSP / ASP
  • OSHA 30 / OSHA 510 Certification within the past 3 years.
  • CPR / First Aid Training
  • Competent person training – fall protection, scaffolding, trenching and excavation.
  • Strong listening, verbal and written communication skills.
