Education Required Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with Structural Emphasis from an NCEES accredited university program.
Experience Required · Registered Professional Engineer.
Eight to Twelve-year experience in the profession with experience in structural systems, design of industrial steel buildings, masonry structures, pipe racks/pipe bridges, shallow/deep foundations, and construction practices.
Advanced knowledge of analysis and design programs and tools as related to steel and concrete design such as STAAD-Pro, Tedds.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
NCEES Records a plus in obtaining PE licenses from other states. Job Description
Develop calculations for safe, economical, and prudent solution of structural design of structures.
Provide high level of discipline and department technical expertise associated with project work.
Schedule, organize, direct and review structural department activities. Review/check engineering designs, drawings and other project documents related to structural department.
Certify designs and drawings as required.
Maintain and upgrade standards and procedures for structural department. ·
Function as Project Manager, Project Leader or Senior Engineer on specific projects as needed.
Interact with other department managers, clients, and contractors.
Able to obtain California Civil PE at earliest opportunity.
