Senior Superintendent

Highly succesful Real Estate Developer & Builder seeking to add a Senior Superintendent to their team in the Seattle Area for a large-scale high-rise residential development in South Lake Union. This project will become a staple of the Seattle Skyline and is a landmark project in the local area for my client.

The role of the Senior Superintendent is to successfully lead and oversee the on-site day-to-day operations for the assigned project – The Senior Superintendent who works hand-in-hand with the Project Manager, Executive and all relevant parties will ensure that this project is completed on time, on budget and in accordance of all design and contract documents. You will oversee schedules, subcontractors, vendors, contracts, safety policies, provide value engineering and quality control. The Senior Superintendent will report directly to the Project Manager working together to create a good working environment and is expected to have previous high-rise experience in the local Seattle market.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum of 10-15 years construction experience required; must have previous experience as the lead project superintendent on high-rise residential projects.
  • BSc in Construction Management or similar construction related degree or equivalent years of hands-on experience.
  • Strong communication, leadership and relationship building experience working with project managers, external consultants, architects, engineers and other parties as required for overall project success.
  • Manage on-site subcontractors and vendors inlcuding schedule updates, ensuring quality of work and contract compliance.
  • Experience with budget tracking, scheduling oversight, change orders, progress reports and value engineering as needed.
  • Thorough understanding of requirements for construction materials, practices, procedures, safety policies and building codes.
  • Strong organisational skills with a proven ability to meet project deadlines.
  • Problem solver who can manage challenging situations effectively.
  • Team player who can both lead and mentor junior team members.
  • Strong Construction Management, Scheduling and other construction related software experience.
  • Candidates must have completed high-rise projects from start to finish to be considered.
