BIM Technician – RC Frame – North London – £45k/£55k

About the company: This company is a highly regarded and respected privatised specialist sub-contractor within Groundworks & RC Frames industry with a current turnover of £50m.

About the Role: You will join an existing team where you play an integral part for the business. You will;

  • Import REVIT file into Sketchup.
  • Use Sketchup to build a library of images which will be linked to the tender programme.
  • Render all the images into a video to be used during the tender presentation.
  • Attention to detail and building a complete picture on buildability to our clients including surrounding areas, logistics, and build sequence are essential to our tender bids.
  • The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the planning and commercial departments.
  • Create and develop a standardised Sketchup element library, to support model reuse and a production approach.
  • Take responsibility for cyber security aspects associated with CAD/BIM data and access.
  • Undertake validation of CAD/BIM models from suppliers and integrate into our models.
  • Manage and coordinate consultant(s), supplier(s) and sub-contractor(s) digital inputs and deliverables to ensure compliance with the project deliverables.
  • Conduct or support suppliers with clash detection on the projects and produce reports for issue resolution, reporting regularly to the programme manager, escalate issues appropriately.
  • Review Digital Health Check statistics within the areas of the project to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Support the programme manager with Ad hoc projects.

About the Requirements:

  • Higher National Diploma NVQ3 or a Foundation Degree in engineering or technology
  • At least 3 years working experience using in a Digital 3d & 4D model engineering using BIM/REVIT, Sketchup and Autodesk (Navisworks and Synchro a bonus).
  • Working knowledge of BS EN ISO 19650 BIM workflows.
  • Experienced in power point presentations
  • Previously setting up BIM/REVIT/AUTOCAD processes and use their knowledge and experience to have a real impact on future projects within the company

You must be;

  • Proactive approach and growth mindset, with an ability to adapt to changing scenarios.
  • Able to collaborate and work effectively within a multidiscipline and diverse team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience of working in a common data environment platform and managing BIM data throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Worked within the construction industry.
  • Hit the floor running and can do attitude.
