SSA are recruiting on behalf of a Carpentry and Joinery Contractor based in Epson. Our client is actively looking for a Commercial Manager to join their commercial department.
The successful candidate must come from a Sub – Contract background with experience in Carpentry / Joinery / Fit Out projects.
About the role:
The Commercial Manager will report to the relevant Project Manager at site Level and to their allocated line manager (Senior Commercial Manager/Commercial Director).
The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration and financial control of a project. They will ensure that the project is delivered in line with, or better than, the tender margin.
This candidate must have experience managing projects in excess of £3m p/a.
Main Responsibilities & Duties:
- Being a proactive member of the commercial department
- Ensuring SCL is reimbursed in full and on time
- Controlling the budget
- Being accountable for and able to justify and explain all financial reporting
- Controlling project durations against targets
- Advise project teams of initial budget allowances to allow planning
Necessary:
- BSc Hons Degree in a relevant subject
- Professional Qualification (RICS/MCIOB or similar)
- Gold Supervisors Card (NVQ 3)
- Manual Handling and Asbestos Awareness training
- SMSTS
- First Aid
- PASMA
- Maintaining and updating Site Safety Folder and Yellow Jacket entries
