CONTRACTS MANAGER – ROOFING & CLADDING – SOUTH WEST 

About the client: My client is a specialist roofing & cladding, sub-contractor based and operating across the South West of the UK. They are now seeking a permanent Contracts Manager to join their established project delivery team.

About the role & duties:

  • To be responsible for project management of several key flat roofing, cladding & rainscreen projects
  • Work closely with the clients Construction Manager, Site Manager and Production team to ensure that the contract agreement is delivered on time and to budget.
  • Coordinating flow of information between the Client, Design, Draughting and Construction teams, ensuring projects are adhered to the programmes.
  • Ensuring site teams comply with all company commercial policies and procedures.
  • Compiling operational programs to achieve the contract start and completion dates.
  • Producing progress reports.
  • Develop & obtain client approval of RAMS and issue to installers.
  • Oversee and manage all H&S and environmental related documents
  • Resource experienced labour in a timely manner
  • Attend client pre-start, design team and coordination meetings as requested.
  • Recording variations that may be requested & inform the QS to recover.
  • Recording any lost time & materials incurred for the QS to recover.
  • Communicate by email with clients & colleagues to confirm critical events or agreements.
  • Maintain a high standard of quality on all projects.
  • Record any delays that arise.

About the requirements: 

  • Proven track record of managing high valued roofing & cladding projects
  • Good knowledge of façade design and procurement process
  • Commercially astute
  • Quality driven and focused
  • Degree or HNC level/equivalent in construction
  • 5+ years relevant experience at management level
  • CSCS/SMSTS
