QUALITY MANAGER – LONDON & SURROUNDING COUNTIES – FACADES 

Experienced Quality Manager required on a permanent basis to work with a facades contractor based in Greater London.

About the Client:

SSA are recruiting for a Quality Manager on the building envelope sector on behalf of an established client who are a specialist within the cladding and glazing sector.

About the Role:

This opportunity is for someone to provide a high level of support to the business in overseeing all cladding packages.
This includes: SFS, cladding, glazing, composite panels and renders.
As the Quality Manager you will be coordinating all activities to ensure the installation and specifications are always compliant to the current building regulations and guidelines.

You will engage at early stages with the Estimators and Designers at tender/design stage and ensure solutions are identified as to any potential issues.

You will be heavily involved at the beginning of each of the projects ensuring benchmarks are relevant to design and quality standards. You will also create onsite QA paperwork for the Site Management teams to complete. Once the project has begun, you will visiting the projects regularly to give advice and assistance to the the operational teams and carry out any relevant Quality Audits.

  • Develop Bespoke Quality Plans, ITP’s and QA Checks for all projects
  • Manage the snagging/defects process
  • Assist with preparation of O&M Manuals
  • Assist/Manage uploading of documents to the company software
  • Complete site visits and carry out quality inspections and audits
  • Ensure the site management are using company software correctly
  • Liaise with the client’s quality managers and 3rd parties, attending relevant meetings
  • Be the first point of call for technical advice on site
  • Assist in creating correct methods for site RAMS
  • Train and mentor managers and support staff on all areas of QA

About the Requirement:

  • Must have a high level of experience in QA and an understanding of façade packages with major emphasis on quality
  • Preferably CQI or working towards it
  • Good communication and documentation skill
  • Good eye for detail
  • Driving licence
  • Good IT skills
  • Ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues

About the Offer:

Permanent Position
Salary – £45,000 – £55,000 per annum DOE
