About the role: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our growing construction development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the cost control and commercial aspects of construction projects, from pre-construction through to completion.
About the Responsibilities:
- Preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and cost plans
- Evaluation of subcontractor and supplier tenders
- Management of subcontractor contracts and variations
- Cost control and reporting, including preparation of cost reports and variance analysis
- Management of change orders and claims
- Risk management
- Liaising with clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders
About the requirements:
- A degree in quantity surveying or a related field
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a quantity surveyor in the construction industry, with experience on large-scale development projects
- Strong financial and commercial acumen
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Proficiency with cost management software (e.g. ASTA Powerproject, Oracle Primavera P6)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
