Job Purpose:

Actively contribute to the delivery by the Design Team of an efficient service, in terms of time and cost, to its customer, internal and external, and to the Design Team achieving its targets.

  1. Carry out allocated tasks accurately, efficiently and in accordance with programme and budget.
  2. Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with company systems, procedures and with work norms.
  3. Be familiar with and ensure that any drawings prepared accord with the project specifications.
  4. Suggest solutions to any design issues that arise.
  5. Recognise any additional work and inform the Design Office Manager / Team Leader of any associated costs / time.
  6. Ensure bulk orders, MAD information and installation drawings are prepared in accordance with the programme and are suitable for the needs of production and installation.
  7. To act in accordance with the company’s Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and practices, and specifically to
  • Take care of your own health and safety, and that of others who may be affected by your actions at work
  • Not intentionally or recklessly interfere with, or misuse anything provided in the interests of health, safety or welfare
  • Use personal protective equipment as issued by the Company as appropriate to your work
  • Only use work equipment, as instructed and trained.
  • Be aware of, and understand emergency procedures in the event of a fire or an accident
  • Report all accidents, incidents and near misses

Essential:

  • Expert in technical details for ceilings, architectural and structural glazing, glazed and metal claddings, balustrades, SFS and curtain walls, dry lining, RAF systems, FR and NFR doors.
  • Have a understanding of construction technology, structural engineering, building science and methodology of buildings in general.
  • Have a good knowledge of up-to-date technology.
  • Have a strong knowledge of 2D & 3D, AutoCAD, Inventor and Revit

Education/Qualifications

  • GCSE Maths, English and a Science
  • A levels
  • AutoCad, City and guilds
  • Good It skills, word, Excel etc
