Position – Geotechnical Engineer/Senior Geotechnical Engineer
Main requirements:
• Tertiary qualification in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering.
• Understanding of AS1726 requirements.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience.
• Analytical and numerical modelling skills with knowledge of geotechnical software such as from the Geo Studio suite (such as SLOPE/W, SIGMA/W, SEEP/W), PLAXIS 2D/3D, FEAR, FLEA, SLIDE, PIGLET, L-PILE, etc.
The person will support all projects with sound geotechnical skills in:
• Developing geotechnical models based on the results of site investigation.
• Undertaking geotechnical assessment for various structures and providing geotechnical recommendations.
• Providing construction support when required consisting of earthworks and ground stabilization.
Other duties may include:
• Prepare fee proposals.
• Write technical reports including factual, interpretation and site observation reports.
• Assist with geotechnical site investigations including contract implementation, resource management, project management and fieldwork.
The role will predominantly be office based, however the individual may be required to go to site (as needed) so will require a full WA drivers license and be available to travel to site if required.
