Job Description

My Client are a very well respected and growing Engineering Consultancy who are seeking a strong Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to manage and undertake design work and technical project co-ordination in their Dublin office.

The successful Mechanical Engineer will report directly to the Associate Director / Director providing design and technical services on various project types, including but not limited to Commercial, Mixed-Use, Residential & Healthcare developments.

Responsibilities:

• Project Planning and Team Management.
• Design of sustainable, energy efficient and resilient Mechanical Services and Installations.
• Compilation of Specifications for Mechanical Services and Installations.
• Ensuring full co-ordination between specifications and drawings.
• Estimating & cost control.
• Compiling project reports.
• Conceptual design studies and reports.
• Liaising with architects, clients and other stakeholders to set the constraints of the mechanical design and co-ordinate with all other disciplines in terms of the mechanical requirements and the mechanical discipline’s influence on all others.
• Mentoring and development of junior and intermediate engineers in the group.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Degree in Building Services Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• 10 years post-qualification experience, most of which will be in design gained within a consultancy environment.
• Chartered or Progressing to achieve chartership.
• Organised and adaptable with a flexible approach to work and an ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Developing knowledge of relevant standards and regulations.
• Revit experience would be an advantage.
• Experience in large scale data centre or, healthcare or, large mixed use developments an advantage
