My client is seeking a highly skilled Signalling Testing and Commissioning Engineer to join their Melbourne team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all Signalling systems are tested, commissioned, and maintained to the highest standards, in accordance with industry and company requirements.
If you were to be successful for this position, you will be responsible for (but not limited to):
- Conduct and oversee all testing and commissioning activities for Signalling systems, ensuring that they meet all applicable regulations and standards.
- Develop and maintain test procedures and protocols, ensuring that they are up-to-date and in line with current industry best practices.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure that Signalling systems are designed and installed to meet project requirements.
- Review and approve Signalling system designs and technical specifications.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams and other stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with Signalling systems, liaising with relevant parties as required.
- Ensure that all Signalling systems are maintained and repaired as required, in accordance with industry and company standards.
- Prepare reports, documentation, and presentations as required, and present findings to relevant stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
To be successful for this role you will need to have the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in Signalling Testing and Commissioning.
- Testing Statement of Competency from MTM.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong project management skills
- Strong technical problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Experience in reviewing and approving Signalling design and technical specifications.
- Excellent knowledge of Signalling systems, including interlocking systems, train detection systems, and track circuits.
