Our Toronto based architectural clients is hiring for a Senior Design Architect.
Our client is augmenting our team and are looking for candidates with specific experience in the design of large-scale, mixed-use developments with skills ranging from concept design and approvals coordination through to building design and documentation. Relevant mixed-use experience to include design and production of residential, commercial, hospitality and place making.
To be the successful candidate you will have a commitment to design excellence and execution and strong skills in the production and co-ordination of contract documents with annotated and dimensioned drawings. You must be able to demonstrate experience ranging from concept design through to contract administration and you will have experience working on a variety of project types.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in architecture, architectural science or architectural technology
  • Minimum 10+ years professional working experience not including co-operative education placements
  • Experience with local municipal approvals process


  • Work with Associates to coordinate internal project deliverables
  • Provide oversight in the planning, implementation, execution and evaluation of project phases


  • Oversee, develop and guide design conception, design detailing and production of presentation materials
  • Lead development of construction documents and follows up with design work as drawings and construction progress
  • Support Associates with ensuring design continuity


  • Support Associates in site coordination, work with contractors in solving construction and site issues
  • Oversee and lead the production of architectural drawings and models
  • Support Associates in maintaining and managing all project documentation related to architectural design and contract administration
  • Guide contract administration and work effectively with contractors to resolve construction/ site issues
  • Perform effective analysis of applicable building codes, by-laws and other regulations and technical documents / reports to which a project may be subject
