Senior Estimator
My client is an excellent General Contractor based within the GTA. They take incredible pride in their work and are committed to providing a solution-focused approach to projects. They are client-focused and work in a highly collaborative environment. Their focus is on ICI projects.
Primary Function:
The Senior Estimator will coordinate the preparation of estimates, identify risk and revenue opportunities, solicit pricing from subcontractors and close tenders. Additionally, this person will use their previous experience to provide leadership and supervise more junior Estimators.
Key responsibilities:
- Planning and scheduling
- Accurately prepare quantity take-offs and establish relevant pricing for selected quantities.
- Proactively analyze risks and recommend solutions.
- Preparation of preliminary budgets and providing costing assistance.
- Demonstrate excellent leadership skills and delegate responsibility to team members.
- Establish and maintain a network of key contacts and subcontractors.
- Presentation of ideas to team members and clients.
Experience:
- Minimum of 6 years of previous experience. ICI experience is required.
- Experience leading or providing guidance to a small team of estimators.
- Possess a thorough understanding of all tendering procedures.
- Must be able to estimate any project from start to finish with minimal guidance.
