The Water Resources Engineer will be responsible for the preparation of servicing and water resources related analyses for Master Plans, land development projects (e.g. subdivisions and site plans) during the draft plan and detailed design stages.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Prepare Functional Servicing and Stormwater Management Reports.
- Utilize computer modeling software to complete hydrologic/hydraulic analyses, erosion and sediment control studies, floodplain mapping analyses, sanitary sewer capacity analyses, etc.
- Support the Project Manager in meeting client needs and deadlines.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A University Degree or College Diploma in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or other equivalent education.
- 2-5 years relevant experience in Water Resources.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) in the Province of Ontario is an asset.
- Solid understanding of hydrologic and hydraulic principles and theories.
- Working knowledge of various software (e.g. Visual OTTHYMO, HEC-RAS, PCSWMM, InfoWorks, AutoCAD) is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to multi-task and provide deliverables effectively in a fast paced environment.
- Capable of working both independently and in a team environment.
