SSA are recruiting a Health & Safety Officer on behalf of a reputable Main Contractor for a Munster – based position. You will be based between three Healthcare projects, two within Cork and one in Kilkenny. This is a permanent position within the company.

Our client is an established Main Contractor who have an impressive portfolio of ongoing and completed projects within Ireland and internationally. They work with a variety of sectors including Healthcare, Residential, Education and more.

Main duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Report on the safety performance of project teams and subcontractors and provide recommendations as such.
- Ensure that personnel are understanding of their duties and responsibilities, and to provide detailed guidance when required.
- Comply with accredited ISO standards
- Complete site safety audits
- Maintain relevant quality and environmental control procedures.
- Conduct site inductions and toolbox talks.
- Assist in the overall compilation of Health & Safety Documentation.
- Delivery of HSE processes, procedures, standards and systems.
- Oversee and review site performance by completing routine inspections and audits, including analysis of all risk assessments and method statements.
To be successful in your application you will possess the following
- Minimum 3 years post-grad construction experience within health and safety required
- Main Contractor Exp preferable but not essential
- Strong communication skills
