About this Opportunity We are recruiting a
Civil Engineer (m/f/d) to support the successful delivery of major civil construction and infrastructure works across Germany. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical knowledge,
fluency in German for coordination with authorities and suppliers, and sound understanding of German construction standards, permitting processes, and contractual procedures. This is a hands-on engineering role that combines technical execution with stakeholder negotiation and project interface management.
Key Job Responsibilities - Manage and coordinate groundworks and civil packages for BESS, substation, and data centre projects across Germany.
- Engage directly with municipal authorities, clients, and suppliers to secure permits and ensure technical compliance.
- Review and interpret design drawings, specifications, and local regulations.
- Monitor on-site progress, ensuring quality, safety, and environmental standards are upheld.
- Support tender preparation and subcontractor evaluations where required.
- Manage budgets, cost reports, and progress schedules in collaboration with the project team.
- Participate in site meetings, contributing to technical problem-solving and value engineering discussions.
Candidate Requirements - Degree in Civil Engineering or related construction discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of comparable experience in civil or infrastructure projects within Germany.
- Sound knowledge of national building codes, standards, and statutory legislation.
- Fluent German communication skills (spoken and written) - essential for dealing with authorities and suppliers.
- Excellent negotiation, coordination, and decision-making abilities.
- Confident English communication for reporting to international management.
- Proactive and adaptable work attitude with the ability to operate autonomously and within a diverse team.
