Civil / Utility Engineer - Major Infrastructure Projects

  • Listed: 25 Mar 2026
  • Civil/Structural Consultancy
  • Ontario - Toronto
Position: Civil / Utility Engineer
Location: Downtown Toronto (Hybrid)
Salary: $90,000 – $110,000
  • Are you interested in contributing to some of Toronto’s most high-profile infrastructure projects, such as the Ontario Line or the Scarborough Subway Extension?
  • Do you take initiative in your work and feel comfortable operating with minimal supervision?
  • Are you looking to join a close-knit, growing team that delivers complex projects both locally and internationally?
If so, this could be an excellent next step in your career.

This opportunity is well suited to a Civil or Utility Engineer with 3–5 years of experience in temporary works and method engineering, who is looking to combine hands-on technical design with project coordination responsibilities.

This is a design-focused role, with approximately 60–70% of your time dedicated to technical work. You will be involved in the design of temporary works, including:
  • Temporary haul roads
  • Site servicing works
  • Utility diversions
  • Crane pads and foundation systems
You will also support the development of temporary works packages, ensuring coordination across civil, utilities, and structural disciplines - offering strong exposure to multidisciplinary project delivery.

In addition, your responsibilities will include preparing and reviewing drawings, specifications, and technical reports, while coordinating with internal teams, suppliers, and clients to ensure successful project execution. You will also gain valuable site exposure through inspections, site assessments, and construction monitoring.

To be successful in this role, you will bring experience with tools such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Excel, OpenRoads, and/or MicroStation. Familiarity with stormwater management design software would be considered an asset.

We’re looking for someone with:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience, ideally within transit, roadway, or stormwater infrastructure projects
  • A strong understanding of municipal, provincial, and MTO standards, as well as utility and site design guidelines
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams
  • P.Eng. designation (or actively working toward licensure in Ontario)
What's in it for you?
  • A highly competitive salary + yearly bonus
  • 4 weeks vacation + paid sick days
  • Comprehensive group benefits package
  • Hybrid working (3 days in office, 2 days WFH)
  • Major projects experience, and an opportunity to join a growing business!
If you enjoy working on technically challenging projects, value a balance of design and field exposure, and are looking to further develop your project management capabilities, this role offers a strong platform to grow your career while contributing to critical infrastructure across Ontario.
