Job Description

This role is with a leading provider of civil and electrical construction services for overhead distribution, underground utilities, and power generation/transmission projects across Canada.

The superintendent will oversee field execution on projects for major clients including Alectra, Hydro One, Metrolinx, and Toronto Hydro, covering subdivision work, LRT corridors, and related civil and utility installations. The position focuses on safely delivering overhead and underground Hydro and Telecom scopes to quality, schedule, and budget targets while leading site crews and subcontractors.

Key responsibilities

-Planning and sequencing daily work, conducting site inspections, and coordinating with project managers, clients, and inspectors to clarify scope, resolve issues, and manage change.
- Lead toolbox talks and enforce safety programs, monitor productivity and quality, verify quantities and as-built information, and support look-ahead planning and progress reporting.
- The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Brings at least five years of relevant field experience in dry utilities, and demonstrates strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with a clear commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
- Salary - $120,000 - $150,000
