Civil Vice President
We are proud to be representing a leading civil construction contractor in the Lower Mainland that is seeking a strategic and experienced Vice President (VP) – Business Development & Estimating. Excavations, Utilities and Roadworks experience is essential.
 
This is a senior leadership role for a proven industry professional who can drive growth, lead estimating functions, and strengthen client relationships across the region.
 
The Opportunity:
This position offers the chance to join a highly respected contractor with a strong pipeline of civil projects, excavations, utilities and roadworks. As VP, you will play a key role in shaping the company’s business strategy, overseeing estimating and preconstruction, and leading business development initiatives to secure new opportunities.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the estimating department, ensuring competitive, accurate, and timely bid submissions
• Develop and implement business development strategies to expand market presence and client base
• Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, municipalities, consultants, and industry partners
• Collaborate with operations and executive leadership to align project delivery with company goals
• Identify emerging market opportunities and position the company as a contractor of choice
• Mentor and develop estimating and BD team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence

What We’re Looking For:

• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in civil construction, with a background in estimating and/or business development
• Strong track record of winning work and building long-term client relationships in the civil sector (utilities, roadworks, infrastructure, or site servicing)
• Proven ability to lead high-performing teams and drive organizational growth
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and strategic planning skills
• A respected presence in the BC construction market with established industry connections
