Our client, is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support its demolition operations across the East Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a specialist contractor delivering complex demolition and enabling works projects.

The Role The Quantity Surveyor will take commercial responsibility for demolition projects from tender stage through to final account, ensuring strong cost control and financial performance across multiple schemes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation of cost estimates and tender submissions
  • Managing subcontractor procurement and accounts
  • Producing valuations, variations, and final accounts
  • Monitoring project budgets and forecasting costs
  • Administering contracts and managing change control
  • Identifying commercial risks and implementing mitigation strategies
  • Working closely with operational and project teams to ensure successful delivery
Candidate Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
  • Previous experience within demolition, enabling works, or civil engineering
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts (NEC and JCT advantageous)
  • Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
