Facade Design Manager
About the Role We are seeking a skilled and experienced
Façade Design
Manager to join our growing team. You will be responsible for managing the technical design and coordination of façade systems on high-profile residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments. The role requires strong technical expertise, coordination skills, and a keen eye for detail to ensure the successful integration of façade designs with architectural and structural requirements.
Key Responsibilities - Lead and manage the façade design process from concept through to construction
- Liaise with architects, structural engineers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure design intent is maintained
- Review and coordinate drawings, specifications, and technical submittals
- Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, fire regulations, thermal/acoustic performance, and structural requirements
- Provide technical guidance and design solutions for façade interfaces, fixing systems, and materials
- Manage design programmes and ensure deadlines are met
- Oversee design change control and document management
- Support the procurement and construction teams with design-related queries and site issues
- Attend design coordination meetings and provide reporting to the project team and senior stakeholders
Requirements - Degree in Façade Engineering, Architecture, Structural Engineering, or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in façade design and coordination (contractor or consultancy side)
- Strong knowledge of curtain walling, cladding, glazing, rainscreen, and related systems
- Familiarity with UK building regulations, CWCT standards, and fire safety compliance
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other design/CAD software
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure
