Job Title: Field Engineer - Civil Construction
Location: Vancouver, BC
Employment Type: Full-Time

Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Field Engineer to join our client's civil construction team. The role focuses on supporting site operations for projects involving utilities, excavations, and infrastructure. You will work closely with project managers, superintendents, and field crews to ensure projects are executed efficiently, safely, and to specification.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with on-site supervision and coordination of construction activities
• Interpret and review project drawings, specifications, and technical documents
• Support surveying, staking, and layout for excavation and utility works
• Monitor quality and compliance with project specifications and safety standards
• Track progress and assist in reporting to Project Managers
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure smooth workflow
• Support problem-solving and provide technical guidance to field teams
• Assist in preparing project documentation, including daily reports, RFIs, and site records

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Technology, or related field
• Previous experience in civil construction projects, preferably in utilities, excavations, or infrastructure
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and civil engineering principles
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work on-site in varying weather conditions and environments
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
