Geotechnical Engineer – Civil Infrastructure (Florida)
Location: Hybrid – Florida

Overview:

A well-established civil engineering consultancy is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer with experience in geotechnical design to join their expanding team.

The role focuses on infrastructure projects - particularly tunnels and roadway systems - and offers the chance to work in a dynamic, multicultural environment with hybrid work flexibility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct geotechnical analyses and deliver recommendations for foundation design, slope stability, retaining walls, and related elements of roadway infrastructure
• Carry out site reconnaissance and field visits as required
• Prepare comprehensive geotechnical reports, including findings, interpretations, and recommendations, based on field and laboratory data
• Perform geotechnical modeling and calculations using industry-standard tools and software
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to integrate geotechnical considerations into overall civil project designs
• Use AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and OpenRoad to create detailed engineering plans and documentation

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• Previous experience working on FDOT or TxDOT projects is essential
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and OpenRoad
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Fluency in both English and Spanish
• Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team setting
