Overview:
A well-established civil engineering consultancy is seeking a
Geotechnical Engineer with experience in geotechnical design to join their expanding team.
The role focuses on infrastructure projects - particularly tunnels and roadway systems - and offers the chance to work in a dynamic, multicultural environment with hybrid work flexibility.
Key Responsibilities: - Conduct geotechnical analyses and deliver recommendations for foundation design, slope stability, retaining walls, and related elements of roadway infrastructure
- Carry out site reconnaissance and field visits as required
- Prepare comprehensive geotechnical reports, including findings, interpretations, and recommendations, based on field and laboratory data
- Perform geotechnical modeling and calculations using industry-standard tools and software
- Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to integrate geotechnical considerations into overall civil project designs
- Use AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and OpenRoad to create detailed engineering plans and documentation
Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Previous experience working on FDOT or TxDOT projects is essential
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and OpenRoad
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Fluency in both English and Spanish
- Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team setting
