About the Client
Our client is an established mechanical and electrical contractor with a strong reputation for safe, high-quality project delivery. The business supports commercial, residential, healthcare, education, infrastructure and technically complex building-services schemes, with a clear focus on safe delivery, technical quality and long-term client relationships.
Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, they are seeking a Electrical Project Manager to join their team in Brent Cross. The successful candidate will manage the successful delivery of electrical work packages from pre-construction through installation, testing, commissioning and handover.
This position will work closely with project leadership, commercial, design, planning and supply-chain stakeholders, providing clear ownership of the role's key deliverables and helping the wider team achieve programme, quality, safety and financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage electrical project delivery from pre-construction and procurement through installation, commissioning and handover.
• Develop and maintain delivery programmes, short-term plans and procurement schedules.
• Coordinate design information, technical submittals, RFIs and builder's-work requirements.
• Manage subcontractors, supervisors and direct labour, setting clear expectations for safety, quality and productivity.
• Monitor progress, cost, risk and change, escalating issues and agreeing recovery actions.
• Lead client, consultant and subcontractor meetings and maintain clear action tracking.
• Ensure materials, plant and specialist resources are procured in line with programme requirements.
• Oversee testing, commissioning, snagging, O&M information and practical completion.
• Work closely with commercial colleagues to support valuations, variations and financial performance.
Candidate Profile
• Proven experience managing electrical packages on construction or engineering projects.
• Strong understanding of design coordination, procurement, installation, testing and commissioning.
• Confident leading subcontractors and communicating with clients, consultants and project teams.
• Relevant technical qualification or trade background, supported by strong site-delivery experience.
Requirements & Experience
• Good understanding of construction health and safety, quality assurance and project controls.
• Ability to work effectively with clients, consultants, subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to travel to and work from the Brent Cross location as required.
