Project Manager – HVAC / Mechanical Services
Major Healthcare Project | Cairns, QLD
SSA Group is partnering with a leading MEP Contractor to appoint an experienced Project Manager to lead a major healthcare project in Cairns.

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a significant hospital project, overseeing the delivery of a large-scale HVAC installation comprising approximately 10,000 HVAC units.
With the scale and complexity of the project, we are seeking a commercially astute and hands-on Project Manager with a strong background in mechanical services and proven experience delivering complex projects.

The Opportunity
You will take the lead on the mechanical services delivery of a major hospital development, managing all aspects of project execution from planning through to completion.
Key responsibilities will include:

• Leading the end-to-end delivery of a major HVAC package within a healthcare project.
• Managing project budgets, programmes, procurement and subcontractors.
• Coordinating closely with clients, consultants, builders and key project stakeholders.
• Driving project performance across safety, quality, cost and programme.
• Leading and developing project teams to achieve successful project outcomes.
• Managing project risks, variations, commercial outcomes and contractual obligations.
• Ensuring all works are delivered in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.

About You To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Proven experience as a Project Manager within the mechanical services / MEP industry.
• A strong track record delivering large-scale HVAC projects.
• Experience working on complex commercial or healthcare developments will be highly regarded.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, installation and commissioning.
• Excellent commercial, contractual and financial management skills.
• The ability to lead teams, manage stakeholders and drive project outcomes.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong leadership capabilities.
