SSA group has partnered with a leading civil construction company that is seeking a HSE Advisor to join their team.
What will you need to be a successful candidate? - Cert IV Training and Assessment
- Certificate IV OH&S or Diploma
- Excellent communication abilities.
- A current driver's licence.
- Ability to pass medical and D&A screenings.
Your new Responsibilities
- Ability to instruct tradespeople and labourers on safe working methods
- Provide HSE administrative support to the site staff.
- Manage HSE communications with all stakeholders.
- Ensure that the company maintains WHS compliance, including DMIRS and, in particular, asbestos removal duties.
- Ability to use appropriate PPE, including fit testing.
- Manage workforce training, skills, and currency, and provide VOC training.
- Maintain the training matrix and direct training requirements.
- Management of tool, vehicle, and plant maintenance, as well as tagging and compliance.
- Conduct site inspections, and instruct or reprimand people as needed.
- Provide and keep a recent model smartphone in functioning order.
- Make presentations to clients and others at safety meetings and conferences.
