Intermediate Bridge / Structural Engineer

An established and growing structural engineering consultancy is seeking an Intermediate Structural Engineer to join their downtown Toronto office.

This is an opportunity to work on complex, large-scale infrastructure projects - ranging from bridges and transit systems to major public works - within a highly collaborative and technically driven environment.

You’ll be part of a close-knit team delivering projects across both local and international markets, with strong exposure to design, analysis, and construction support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with engineers and designers to deliver structural design and analysis for infrastructure projects, including bridges, subways, and other transportation systems
  • Produce, manage, and review engineering deliverables across a range of project sizes and complexities
  • Provide technical input and guidance to CAD designers, drafters, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Support construction activities through document review and technical advisory
  • Contribute across the full project lifecycle—from feasibility and conceptual design through to detailed design and construction
  • Assist with proposal development and support project pursuits
What You’ll Bring
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Ontario
  • 5+ years of experience in structural analysis and design, ideally within transportation or heavy infrastructure projects
  • Experience working alongside contractors and/or transportation agencies
  • Proficiency with structural analysis software (e.g., Sofistik, SAP2000, CSIBridge or similar), along with AutoCAD and Revit
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
  • Willingness to attend site visits and support construction activities as required
