SSA is recruiting an Intermediate Mechanical Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a well-established Mechanical Contractor for projects in Co. Mayo.

About the role
This is a site-based position with strong support from senior commercial management. You will take commercial responsibility for mechanical packages on large-scale projects while gaining exposure to full project delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

• Commercial management of mechanical packages (HVAC, pipework, plant, etc.)
• Budget control, cost tracking, and monthly cost reporting
• Managing subcontractor accounts and payment applications
• Valuations, variations, and change order management
• Procurement of mechanical materials and subcontract packages
• Identifying and reporting commercial and contractual risks
• Liaising closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams

Position requirements

• Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline
• 3–6 years post-graduate experience
• Experience working on mechanical packages within construction projects
• Strong understanding of M&E contracts and cost control
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Full driving licence
