Our client has built a reputation over the last 40+ years for delivering quality, on-budget, and on-time results across a wide range of civil infrastructure projects.
They work as trusted subcontractors on roadworks, underground utilities, earthworks, and bridge projects throughout BC.
They're now looking to grow their estimating team with an ambitious, detail-oriented Junior Estimator who’s eager to learn and grow with them.
The Role As a Junior Estimator, you will work closely with their senior estimators and project managers to support the preparation of accurate and competitive cost estimates for civil construction tenders. You’ll gain exposure to a variety of scopes, from bulk excavation and shoring to deep utilities and site servicing.

You’ll gain exposure to a variety of scopes, from bulk excavation and shoring to deep utilities and site servicing.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in reviewing tender documents, drawings, and specifications
- Perform quantity take-offs using Bluebeam and Excel
- Request and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes
- Organize and track pricing data and historical costs
- Support bid submissions and pre-construction documentation
- Maintain estimating databases and templates
- Attend site visits and pre-bid meetings as needed
- Collaborate with field teams to ensure practical constructability
- 1–2 years of experience in a construction or estimating-related role (internships/co-op considered)
- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- Familiarity with construction drawings and industry terminology
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and Bluebeam; HCSS or Bid2Win exposure is a bonus
- A proactive mindset and eagerness to develop technical estimating skills
