Project Engineer – Infrastructure (Facilities)

Our client, a proudly Canadian, employee owned engineering consulting firm, is looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join their Ontario team, working out of offices in the GTA / GTHA or K-W area. This is a full time role where you'll act as civil lead on multidisciplinary facility projects, including water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and reservoirs. You'll take ownership of the civil scope from design through construction, working alongside process, mechanical, electrical, and structural teams to deliver strong infrastructure outcomes for communities across Ontario.

What you'll be doing:
  • Acting as civil lead across multidisciplinary facility projects, leading site grading, servicing, stormwater management, and structural coordination to deliver buildable civil designs
  • Taking the lead on civil scope for booster pump stations, sewage pump stations, and reservoir projects, managing delivery from design through to construction while keeping projects on time and on budget
  • Working closely with process, mechanical, electrical, and structural teams to keep civil scope integrated with the wider facility design, and resolving cross discipline issues as they come up
  • Managing municipal approvals and environmental permitting for facility infrastructure projects across Ontario, including drawings, specifications, and reports
  • Mentoring junior and intermediate engineers and technologists, and applying QA standards to keep civil deliverables consistent and high quality
What we're looking for:
  • 5+ years of progressive civil engineering experience, with a focus on multidisciplinary facility or infrastructure work
  • Registered P.Eng. with PEO, or currently eligible for licensure in Ontario
  • Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering
  • Solid technical background in water and wastewater treatment facilities, booster pump stations, sewage pump stations, or reservoirs
  • Experience coordinating across multidisciplinary teams on complex facility projects
  • Strong communicator who's comfortable leading project teams and engaging with clients and stakeholders
  • Track record of delivering high quality work and hitting deadlines in a fast paced, team oriented environment
