Job Summary: Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Project Coordinator to join their team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in civil construction, particularly in groundworks and utilities. They will play a crucial role in coordinating and managing projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities: - Project Planning and Coordination:
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and work plans.
- Coordinate project activities and resources to ensure projects progress on schedule.
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project requirements are understood and met.
- Budget and Cost Management:
- Monitor project budgets and expenditures.
- Prepare and present cost estimates and budget reports.
- Assist in the preparation of bids and proposals.
- Quality Control and Compliance:
- Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with project specifications, standards, and regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to project plans and quality standards.
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures.
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Monitor project progress and address any issues that arise.
- Communication and Reporting:
- Provide regular updates to project stakeholders, including status reports and progress updates.
- Facilitate effective communication among project team members and stakeholders.
- Prepare and present project documentation and reports.
- Health and Safety:
- Ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to on site.
- Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project coordination or management within the civil construction industry, specifically in groundworks and utilities.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, and materials.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with CAD software.
- Familiarity with local construction regulations and standards.
