Contracts Manager – Rail / Major Infrastructure
A well-established international engineering consultancy is expanding its footprint in Toronto and is seeking an experienced
Contracts Manager to support major rail and infrastructure projects. This is a permanent, hybrid role, with a mix of office-based work and occasional site/client visits.
The Contracts Manager will be responsible for overseeing contract administration across complex infrastructure projects, working closely with project leadership, commercial teams, and legal counsel. This is a newly created position within an established delivery team.
Key Responsibilities - Ensure compliance with contractual requirements across project delivery
- Support Project Managers, Directors, Commercial and Legal teams on contract matters
- Review, draft, negotiate, and administer client and supplier agreements
- Advise on contractual structures, risk exposure, and mitigation strategies
- Manage contract change orders, variations, and formal project communications
- Lead claims management related to scope changes and extensions of time
- Coordinate with internal functions including finance, insurance, and procurement
Requirements - 10+ years’ experience in contract management within major infrastructure projects
- Proven experience negotiating and administering both client and supplier contracts
- Strong background in rail and/or large civil infrastructure projects
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating within multi-disciplinary teams
