The Company: A comprehensive engineering firm that covers various disciplines, including civil engineering, structural engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, energy modeling, and fire protection design.
Responsibilities: - Collaborate with an Engineer or Project Manager to create drawings, plans, sketches, and designs.
- Prepare reports under their supervision.
- Assist in developing preliminary and detailed grading, drainage, and servicing plans for land development.
- Perform design calculations for storm sewers, sanitary sewers, and stormwater management facilities.
- Generate technical memoranda, construction plans, and specifications.
- Maintain Civil 3D templates.
- Be prepared for occasional travel and fieldwork.
Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil, Environmental Engineering, or related field) from an accredited university, including coursework related to urban water systems and municipal infrastructure.
- Alternatively, a diploma in civil engineering technology/drafting with a minimum of 10 years’ experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is essential.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and successfully complete deliverables.
- Effective communication and collaboration with other departments.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Analytical, thorough, resourceful, and detail-oriented.
