Our client, a well-established engineering firm with a strong footprint in geotechnical services, is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their Saskatchewan team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on projects that make a tangible impact on the local community, while being supported by a collaborative and highly skilled team.
 
The Opportunity
 
This role is ideal for a seasoned geotechnical professional looking to advance their career while contributing to diverse and innovative projects. You will work alongside a local team of engineers and EITs, with access to broader regional expertise across the organization. Your responsibilities will include mentoring junior staff, overseeing technical work, and collaborating on project design and delivery.
 
What You'll Do
  • Lead geotechnical engineering projects from initial investigation and analysis to design and construction oversight.
  • Provide technical mentorship and guidance to a local team of engineers and EITs.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to develop proposals, cost estimates, and deliverables.
  • Apply innovative solutions and industry best practices to a variety of projects, including site investigations, foundation design, slope stability, retaining structures, and instrumentation monitoring.
  • Contribute to projects with real community impact and the opportunity to work on large-scale and technically challenging assignments.
What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in geotechnical engineering or related disciplines.
  • Professional Engineering registration (P.Eng.) with APEGS.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills with a passion for developing junior staff.
  • Proven problem-solving, communication, and collaborative skills.
  • Flexibility to work on a variety of projects, with some travel across Canada.
  • Valid Canadian driver's license and ability to live in or relocate to Saskatoon or Regina, SK.
