Job Description

My client is a highly regarded M&E Design Consultancy seeking an Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer to join their Dublin office. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineer to undertake mechanical design work and technical project coordination while contributing to a diverse portfolio of projects across multiple sectors.
The successful candidate will join a busy and experienced team delivering Design, Project Management, and Construction Supervision services for a wide range of commercial, healthcare, residential, industrial, and mixed-use developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver mechanical building services designs across all project stages
• Prepare design calculations, technical reports, specifications, and supporting documentation
• Select appropriate materials, components, and manufacturing processes
• Review and optimise designs to improve performance, cost efficiency, and manufacturability
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, vendors, and multidisciplinary design teams
• Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards, health and safety regulations, and environmental requirements
• Support project delivery through effective technical coordination and communication
• Participate in site visits, inspections, and project meetings as required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong technical capability across all aspects of Mechanical Building Services Design
• Experience preparing technical reports, calculations, and specifications
• Proven ability to liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers
• Proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary project team
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy

Education & Experience

• Relevant third-level qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum of 3 years' relevant industry experience
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Benefits
