An opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Estimator to join an innovative, industry-leading construction business with a strong national presence and an expanding project portfolio.

This role offers the chance to work across residential and commercial projects within a progressive construction environment that brings design, construction and manufacturing together. You will play a key role in the pre-construction process, preparing accurate cost plans, supporting tender submissions and providing commercial insights that help drive successful project outcomes.
Working closely with the Pre-Construction, Design, Procurement and Construction teams, you will contribute to project feasibility, pricing strategies and commercial decision-making from early design through to tender and contract award.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets and cost plans for residential and commercial projects.
• Complete quantity take-offs covering materials, labour, plant, equipment and subcontractor requirements.
• Review architectural, structural and services drawings to develop accurate and commercially sound estimates.
• Manage tender documentation and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations, including inclusions, exclusions and commercial risks.
• Identify cost risks, pricing opportunities and value-engineering initiatives to improve project outcomes.
• Monitor design development and update estimates to reflect changes in scope, construction methodology and market conditions.
• Prepare cost reports, estimate summaries, tender recommendations and pricing breakdowns for variations and optional works.
• Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders across design, pre-construction, procurement, manufacturing and construction.
• Provide clear cost advice and recommendations to senior stakeholders to support project feasibility and commercial performance.

About You You are an experienced Estimator or Senior Estimator with a strong understanding of construction pricing, procurement and commercial risk. You take pride in producing accurate estimates and can confidently communicate cost drivers, assumptions and recommendations to a range of stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Proven experience preparing detailed construction estimates and cost plans.
• Exposure to residential and/or commercial construction projects.
• The ability to interpret architectural, structural and services drawings.
• A sound understanding of Australian construction methodologies, the NCC and relevant Australian Standards.
• Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with estimating and cost management software.
• A solid understanding of tendering, procurement and subcontractor pricing.
• Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills.
• A relevant qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building, Engineering or a related discipline.
• A current driver's licence.

Experience in modular construction, prefabrication, off-site manufacturing or other manufacturing-led construction environments will be highly regarded.
