SSA is seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Specialist / Consultant on behalf of a prestigious multidisciplinary consultancy with offices in Munster and Leinster.

About the role:
  
Working closely with the Directors, the main objective of this client-facing role is to grow the company’s market share in this area. As the business unit develops, opportunities to progress within the firm will be presented to you.
  
Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end tender processes in full compliance with EU Procurement Directives, ensuring timely and compliant contract awards.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to enhance procurement efficiency and ensure value for money.
• Apply comprehensive knowledge of Irish public procurement frameworks, including the Office of Government Procurement (OGP) guidelines and the eTenders platform.
• Lead all stages of the competitive procurement lifecycle, including market engagement, supplier shortlisting, preparation of tender documentation, tender management, and evaluation.
• Provide expert guidance on contract risk and support the development of innovative delivery and contracting models across multiple initiatives.

Position requirements:

• 5+ years experience in public sector procurement / supply chain
• Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) certification is highly advantageous
• Degree qualification in a related discipline
• Demonstrated experience working client-side or in a consultancy environment
• Ability to build lasting relationships at a senior level
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
