Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team immediately.
Role Overview The Senior Quantity Surveyor will take commercial responsibility for multiple high-value luxury housing projects, ensuring cost control, contract compliance, and financial efficiency throughout the project lifecycle. This is a hands-on role, offering autonomy and the opportunity to work with some of the most prestigious developments in the region.
Key Responsibilities - Manage all aspects of cost planning, estimation, and budget control on assigned projects.
- Prepare tender documents, contracts, and bills of quantities.
- Oversee subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and contract administration.
- Monitor project progress and report on costs, valuations, and forecasts.
- Conduct risk, value management, and cost control exercises.
- Prepare interim valuations, variations, and final accounts.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety, and contractual obligations.
- Work closely with project managers, site teams, architects, and clients to ensure financial and contractual success of projects.
- Mentor junior team members where required.
Requirements - Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor with at least 5 years in the residential construction sector.
- Strong track record delivering luxury or high-spec housing projects.
- MRICS or working towards chartership (preferred but not essential).
- Excellent knowledge of construction contracts, procurement routes, and commercial best practice.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Based within a commutable distance to Oxfordshire.
- Immediate availability highly desirable.
