About the RoleDuties May Include: - Lead full commercial management of M&E packages from pre‑contract through final account.
- Administer main contracts and subcontracts, including valuations, variations, change control and claims.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, cash flow and detailed cost reporting in line with company procedures.
- Oversee procurement, tendering, negotiation and subcontractor appointments, ensuring value and compliance.
- Provide commercial insight, risk management and support on design development, programme changes and value engineering.
- Build strong relationships with clients, consultants and the supply chain, managing expectations on change and payments.
- Support dispute avoidance and resolution, ensuring contractual obligations and notices are met.
- Identify and manage commercial risks, opportunities and recovery of client‑driven changes.
- Mentor and support junior commercial staff, promoting strong commercial discipline across the project team.
Requirements: - Proven experience as an M&E SENIOR Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor or specialist building services contractor, ideally with relevant sector exposure.
- Proven ability to manage and deliver high‑value, technically complex MEP packages.
- Strong working knowledge of standard construction contracts, particularly JCT.
- Confident commercial judgement with strong negotiation skills and experience overseeing major subcontract packages.
- Degree‑qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a similar discipline.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with the drive to progress toward senior commercial leadership.
