SSA is recruiting Senior Quantity Surveyors on behalf of a number of established contractors for permanent positions based in Limerick and the surrounding region.

About the role:
I am currently working with several companies across the main building, civil engineering and specialist contracting sectors who are looking to strengthen their commercial teams with experienced Senior Quantity Surveyors.

Depending on the opportunity, you will take responsibility for the commercial management of projects from procurement through to final account, working closely with project teams, clients and subcontractors.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Full commercial management of construction projects
• Preparing and managing budgets, forecasts and monthly cost reports
• Procurement and management of subcontractor packages
• Managing valuations, variations and final accounts
• Identifying and mitigating commercial risks
• Liaising with clients, consultants and project teams
• Mentoring junior members of the commercial team
• Ensuring strong commercial performance throughout the project lifecycle

Position requirements:

• Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
• 6+ years' Quantity Surveying experience
• Experience within building, civils or specialist contracting
• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge
• Experience managing projects or significant commercial packages
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Valid working rights within Ireland
