Site Superintendent – ICI Construction
Location: Southern Ontario (GTA/Niagara/Hamilton Area)
Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent
A well-established and respected general contractor is seeking a Site Superintendent to join their team. This role is ideal for an experienced construction professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality Institutional, Commercial, and Industrial (ICI) projects from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily on-site operations and coordinate all construction activities to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and within budget
• Supervise subcontractors, trades, and laborers, ensuring high standards of workmanship and compliance with building codes and company procedures
• Collaborate closely with the Project Manager, consultants, and client representatives to manage timelines, resolve issues, and maintain strong communication throughout the project lifecycle
• Maintain accurate project documentation including site reports, schedules, deficiency lists, and health & safety records
• Lead site meetings and ensure adherence to site safety plans, quality control, and environmental standards

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Site Superintendent within the ICI construction sector
• Proven track record of delivering commercial and institutional projects valued between $5M–$30M
• Strong understanding of the Ontario Building Code, OHSA, and relevant construction legislation
• Ability to lead, motivate, and coordinate multiple teams while maintaining a professional site culture
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Gold Seal Certification or PMP is an asset
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites as required
