KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide guidance and advice to projects to ensure they meet their company, statutory and client requirements.
- Monitor all forms of required consents and monitor evidence of all works being completed in a manner that satisfies all conditions set out by the consents granting bodies.
- Monitor the environmental performance of all works.
- Provide management information on the environmental performance of all works.
- Assess, analyse, and collate environmental performance data and reporting information to internal staff, clients and regulatory bodies.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of the programme’s EMS, keeping up to date with relevant changes in environmental legislation and initiatives including client requirements where applicable.
- Lead on incident investigations and manage any closeouts
- Assist with the Regulators and lead on the closing out of any actions.
- Be client facing by attending meetings, raising the company profile and by delivering briefings and training to our teams.
About the requirements:
- Has a good understanding of the construction industry and sustainability
- Excellent people + data and analysis management skills
- Experience of sustainability assessments (BREEAM, LEED, WELL)
- Experience of WRAP Quality Protocols and CL:AIRE DoW:CoP beneficial
- Good communicator at all levels, both oral and written
- Proven record of delivering to targets and deadlines
- Ability to effectively juggle conflicting priorities and drivers
- Results orientated and committed to the work undertaken, remaining focused and driven even in challenging times
- Demonstrates polite, enthusiastic, helpful, and professional approach at all times
- Be a persuasive communicator, able to express views to diverse groups both internally and externally
- Works as part of a team by sharing knowledge and experiences
- Operate within the IOSH Code of Conduct
- Environmental degree or similar
- Membership of a relevant professional body (IEMA etc.)
