Estimator – Flat Roofing Contractor – Bedfordshire – £35k-£55k DOE
About the Client: SSA are recruiting on behalf a specialist Flat Roofing Sub-Contractor. The company is now seeking an experienced Estimator to join their established team.
About the Role & Duties:
- Site surveys
- Preparation and completion of Tender documents and quotations
- Preparation and pricing of Bills of Quantities and budget estimates
- Communicating effectively and liaising with clients and Contracts Managers
- Reviewing Contract Terms and Conditions
- Maintaining good relationships with sub-contractors and suppliers.
- Attending any meetings and client presentations relevant to the project
- Researching and understanding current market prices for subcontractors and materials
About the Requirements;
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Previous experience within Flat Roofing estimating is preferable however other roofing or cladding systems will also be considered
- Computer literacy including use of Microsoft Office suite
- Membership of relevant industry bodies and accreditation preferable
- Ability to read architectural drawings and refer to schedules
- An eye for detail and the ability to visualise schemes
- A strong work ethic with a can-do attitude
- Ability to work on own initiative and deadlines
The chosen candidate must be permitted to and have prior work experience in the UK.
