Job Description
The Streetworks Manager will act as the lead for the Streetworks permitting & notices applications, Supervisor competency and Supplier performance. Reporting to the Contracts Manager, they will ensure there are structured Streetworks plans in place for the rollout program and that performance is measured and high standards are maintained at all times. The role relates to projects in the Greater London Area.

Role and Responsibilities
The key responsibilities for the successful candidate will include:

  • Oversee the inspection regime and related activities of the Supervisors under NRSWA 1991 & TMA 204
  • Work with the operational teams to ensure Health and Safety and Quality Standards are in place
  • Inspecting sites as escalation point to ensure compliance
  • Ensure the relevant notices and permits are submitted to local authorities
  • Ensure that processes and procedures are effective and consistent to national requirements within Streetworks
  • Ensure reports are provided and managed to effectively manage Streetworks on the contract
  • Ensure that data, reports and presentations on performance and improvement is compiled as and when needed for all stakeholders to effectively monitor performance and improvements
  • Deal effectively with any escalations brought to your attention surrounding Streetworks
  • Effectively manage HA relationships with Streetworks counterparts to mitigate risk
  • Work with the Streetworks Coordinator to ensure Streetworks action plans are in place and delivered to increase Streetworks performance
  • Responsible for gathering and collating evidence in relation to any challenges received from local authorities in relation to NRSWA and assist in the timely submission of such evidence to the required authority
  • Capture feedback from external parties and share this with PMO to help shape the way they plan and deliver work
  • Act as the lead with the client Streetworks team and HA’s in improving engagement across the area of operation

Qualifications

  • Proven industry experience and / or 3rd Level degree with focus on engineering
  • Full clean driving licence
  • CSCS card holder
  • NRSWA Supervisor qualified (Units 10-16)

Experience

  • Expertise for NRSWA, TMA, and/or Chapter 8, Reinstatement, Site management
  • Strong knowledge of NRSWA legislation, NRSWA Specification and Codes of Practice, and the Traffic Management Act and Codes of Practice.
  • Have strong operational experience with experience in managing supervisors
  • Understand Streetworks and can engage with HA’s and relevant stakeholders to implement Streetworks improvement plans
  • Customer relationship management
  • Traffic management plan design and implementation

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
