Chief/Senior Estimator
My client is a mid-size General Contractor based within the GTA. They take incredible pride in their work and pride themselves on providing the skills and resources of a larger company with the hands-on involvement of a smaller company. Their focus is on Interior, Institutional and Healthcare projects.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage the bid and tender process for various projects.
- Responsible for all estimates and ensure projects are costed correctly.
- Have direct interaction with third party clients throughout the estimating process.
- Responsible for the leadership/management and development & training of the estimating team.
- Establish and implement policies for quality control.
- Drive safety performance and culture.
- Ensure a smooth transition of project estimating to the project management team to be executed.
Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years of previous experience. Interior, Institutional project preferred.
- Gold Seal Certification – or working towards completing.
- University Degree or College Diploma in Civil Engineering/Construction Management/Architecture
- Experience leading a project and the ability to provide coaching/mentoring to team members.
- Excellent communication & presentation skills.
- Local area knowledge (Toronto/GTA).
