Our client, a market leader across Mechanical Contracting specializing within the Commercial, Industrial, Multi-Family and Institutional industries has been awarded numerous new projects and contracts so looking to bring on an experienced and motivated MEP Engineer to join their well-established team.
Reporting to Senior Management level, as MEP Engineer you will be responsible in leading the clients project lead team across all MEP activities across both Mechanical and Electrical installations. Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with the on-site projects team and the client’s superintendent to ensure all mechanical and electrical elements are progressing in accordance with timelines
  • Participate in schedule update meetings and provide the latest information for an informed and accurate schedule
  • Evaluate and manage the processing of RFI’s
  • Manage the budget including the review, evaluation, and negotiation of change orders
  • Prepare scope of work documentation
  • Partner with the MEP Superintendent to resolve conflicts between the mechanical and electrical systems with the site logistics plan and in accordance with the project schedule
  • Conduct regular project walk throughs to ensure that work is proceeding in accordance time-frames set
  • Create and implement the quality control plan with the MEP Superintendent

Education, Skills and Knowledge:

  • 4+ years’ post-grad relevant experience within the Mechanical or Construction industry
  • Completion of a University Degree/Technology Diploma in Mechanical or Electricial Engineering, or related qualification
  • Exceptional technical expertise and understanding of all mechanical and electrical systems that support the broad array of projects
  • Previous experience with job task planning, decision making and problem-solving
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong prioritization skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple and sometime conflicting priorities
  • The ability to work both independently and in a team environment and willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities readily.
