The Role As an Associate Structural Engineer, you will play a key leadership role across technical delivery, project management, and team development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver structural designs from concept through to construction documentation
- Review and approve drawings, calculations, and technical reports
- Take responsibility for sign-off and quality assurance across projects
- Lead project planning, scheduling, and successful delivery
- Monitor budgets, fees, and resource allocation
- Supervise, mentor, and develop graduate and mid-level engineers
- Provide technical guidance and review junior engineers’ work
- Contribute to maintaining and enhancing engineering standards
- Chartered Engineer status (CPEng / NER / PE) with proven experience signing off on projects
- 8–15+ years of local design experience within Australia
- Strong technical expertise across:
- Concrete (post-tensioned and reinforced)
- Steel
- Masonry
- Timber
- Experience across commercial, industrial, public infrastructure, and hospitality projects
- A well-rounded professional with strong leadership, communication, and project management skills
